Earlier this week, Beetles, Ants and Mealybugs were released in the first installment of Venu’s Garden – a series of Creature Quests (DoN’s Story Mode).
Here’s the preview video:
And here’s a full walkthrough!
Be sure to get your name up on the leaderboard for the new Beetle mission!
Along with in-game tutorials for all creatures, some other interesting updates (ahem ahem!) are headed DoN’s way in the coming days, so be sure to follow DoN’s Community Hub on Steam or DoN’s Youtube Channel to stay on top of everything Drunk On Nectar!
With the ongoing focus on gameplay, a new leaderboard map “Lady Love” has been released.
Here’s an overview narrated personally by me!

To celebrate this release a Leaderboard Contest is underway with nifty prizes to be won. The contest will conclude on 10th of April 2017 so be sure to check out this Steam announcement for more details and the list of prizes!
The current contest leader is Steam user “NuclearMedic” so if you want to beat Medic’s score of 1:15 (as of now!) put your jumping boots on, check out the new map and get your name up there on the leaderboard 🙂
More “Creature Quests” are headed your way in the days to come!
The latest species to arrive in DoN’s World is the lovely Monarch!
Start life as a tiny 1mm sized caterpillar wriggling out of an egg and grow, moult and metamorphose your way into an adult butterfly! Of course, the adult butterfly metamorphosis is only coming next week but you can go all the way up to being a mighty fifth-instar caterpillar for now 🙂
For those who haven’t purchased the game on Steam yet, here’s a gameplay overview.
Do consider buying the game to support DoN’s ongoing development!
DoN’s Steam Early-Access Journey:
It’s been a while since the last post; as you can imagine, building Drunk On Nectar full-time while managing its Steam presence has left little time for the blog posts and dev diaries of yore.
However, a number of articles, announcements and updates have been periodically released on Steam, IndieDb and Youtube so if you’re curious to know how the journey has been so far, here’s a list of fun articles for you to read 🙂
At long last, DoN is on Steam Greenlight! I’m really excited about what this means for the game and the opportunity to present it in front of so many Steam users and to obtain their valuable feedback. Please visit the link below and vote “Yes” for Drunk On Nectar 🙂
